Chaotic United File Submission Rules Last updated: 11-18-2018, 12:56 AM CDT Section I - Global File Submission Guidelines By submitting any file on our download center, you agree to abide by the following guidelines: a. General Guidelines Your content must not encourage racism, hate speech, or other forms of discrimination based on gender, religion, race, beliefs, or on any other such trait. Your content must not contain extreme nudity or adult themes. Mild adult themes are permitted. Your content must not attack or harass any other person. Your content must not contain viruses, malware, or otherwise contain threats to the user's device. b. Stolen Content Your content must not contain pirated or stolen content, in part or in whole, from any other person without their permission. If your content contains content from another author, you must provide proof of their given permission. Otherwise, your file will be removed and your ability to submit premium files will be revoked. c. Legal Responsibility In the event of any legal complaints against your content, you will be responsible for resolving these issues. Your content will be hidden from the public until if and when any complaints are resolved. Chaotic United is not responsible for any lost revenue as a result of any legal issues. Section II - Premium File Submission Guidelines By submitting any file as PREMIUM on our download center, you agree to also abide by the following guidelines: a. Account Balance Your account balance may take up to 14 days to withdrawal to your payment method. It will rarely take this long, however as money continues to circulate around Chaotic United, we cannot guarantee that any given user's account balance is in the specific account at any given time. As such, all withdrawals are manually confirmed. Normally, this will take no longer than a day. But in the event of being unable to transfer funds, it may take time. We will always strive to get funds transferred as quickly as possible. If you have not recieved your funds after 14 days, please create a support ticket. In the event that you are suspended from being able to submit premium files, your account balance will be delivered to your desired payment. b. File Uploads Files must be uploaded directly to the CU website, you cannot host them on a 3rd-party website. This is to ensure that people who purchase files don't find themselves without a download link later on down the road. Reservation of Rights Chaotic United reserves the right to remove any file for any reason. In addition, Chaotic United reserves the right to alter, modify, or update these terms without notice. If you disagree with these terms, you may contact a staff member for questions or concerns. If you ultimately do not agree to these terms, you will not be allowed to submit any files to our download center.

As part of our new expansion efforts, we have introduced a content platform element to CU. You can upload all sorts of content. Starting with Minecraft content, and expanding over time, it is set to allow users to easily share their content with the community. Additionally, especially talented users may submit their files as Premium. What this means is that their files can be made as paid resources, and share it with the community. There are some things you should know before you get going, and most relevant info can be found here. Additional questions should be directed at haloman30.Uploading a Premium Resource The process is incredibly simple and hands-off. You create your build/world/design/other premium content, and get it tuned up nicely. You may then upload your file to our Downloads system. Then, you will upload some screenshots. After that, you will enter some information about the file. Lastly, you may choose either Free or Paid. By clicking 'Paid', you mark the file as a Premium resource. You should ONLY upload Premium resources under the appropriate 'Premium' category. All free files should be under the normal categories. And that's it! When people buy your item, it will be linked to your account as Credit that can be withdrawn at your leisure. Alternatively, you may leave it on your account as a stockpile/savings. It's all up to you!Requirements/Quality Control We rarely will remove content from the Premium listings. Horrible content that is being offered up as Premium, or content that may be decent but not worthy of payment will be downvoted by the community itself - and just won't make money. If content violates any community rules, or contains any extreme nudity or contains pornographic content, it will be made unavailable to the community. We love dirty jokes as much as you do, but we aren't a porn site. There are more than enough of those for you to enjoy elsewhere on the internet.Withdrawing Your Earnings When someone buys your Premium resource, the money goes into your Account Credit. You can withdraw the money to your PayPal account at any time. Withdrawals will need to be approved and as such you will not receive them immediately. This is simply for us to make sure the money exists for us to pay you. We don't want to deal with negative PayPal balances on our end - you understand. This usually shouldn't take too long, unless you attempt to withdraw in later hours where our Admins are not available. It will rarely take any more than a day, but the general rule is don't plan on having the money at the exact moment you press the button, just for safety.Deductions/Fees Chaotic United will collect 15% of all Premium file revenue to go towards server costs, website feature upgrades, server upgrades, and so on. Additionally, a 0.60 USD (60 cents) transaction fee will be taken out. The rest of the money is yours.Frequently Asked Questions Q: Why can't I get 100% of the profits? You didn't make any of my content, I did! >:^(A: Correct. We did not develop your content. However, we do host the website that you have uploaded the file to, and that host isn't free. Besides, we are very generous with only taking 15% of the profits. Some sites demand 20% or even 30% - which is just absurd.Q: What if I create a build of a super sexy lady but I don't show any nudity?A: This is fully permitted, but I don't know if anyone will be willing to buy it. Those kinds of builds are more of a screenshot piece. You're more than welcome to try, though.Q: If I upload a file, do CU staff members get to download it for free?A: Managers, Administrators, and Owners can download your file without needing to pay. Moderators and below must pay, however.Q: If I upload something such as a SkyWars or SurvivalGames arena, will CU use it?A: If we find interest in your build, we will generally inform you about it. We will never use your builds for free without your permission. You may allow us to use them free of charge, but otherwise you will receive a payment for the build before we use it.Q: Why can't I get my withdrawal immediately?A: As we mentioned before, we want to ensure we can actually pay you first. If we can't pay you for whatever reason (ex: the money in CU's PayPal was used on server bills), then we will need to transfer money into it beforehand. Don't worry - you will never not have your account credit. If need be, CU will pay you out of pocket. Q: What if my content is commentary on a sensitive topic, such as racism, sexism, etc?A: Commentary or not, if your content is deemed overly offensive, it will be removed. Otherwise, anyone could make racist content and just say "oh, its just commentary so its fine :D". Just because it's commentary, doesn't mean it can just bypass the rules. Ultimately, we are the judges in these cases.Q: Can my content promote another community or website?A: You can ask us first, however in most cases it is not allowed. Exceptions would be any content relating to Nuclear District, Hurricane Craft, Elaztek Studios, United AlyCraft, and any other members or partners of the Chaotic United Network. You can find a list of those names here.

Donations don't go to the server bills, and we technically do host our own. We aren't running with some overpriced MC server hosting platform, we run with dedicated servers that we can use for virtually any purpose. if you want a large amount of more details that i rambled on for a bit you can see it here

Hey, everyone! After a long desolate silence on the status of our update to 1.13, I think a progress report is well overdue. Previously, progress was pretty much at a grinding halt. This is because for quite some time not many plugins were up to date. Recently, though, that situation changed. Many plugins started becoming up-to-date or otherwise compatible with 1.13. So, where are we? What is the current status of the server? How long until we finally update? Well, in terms of the number of plugins left to update, the number has shrunk rapidly over the past couple of weeks. However, the plugins that do remain are quite major ones. As of this topic, the plugins left to update are: PlotMe - The plugin that powers our Creative world, this plugin hasn't had an update since 1.8. It was apparently coded quite well as it's worked flawlessly up until 1.13. PlotMe-DefaultGenerator - This is a world generator that PlotMe uses to generate the plot terrain. This is what's given us the most trouble recently. NoCheatPlus - Our anticheat plugin Orebfuscator (or alternative) - Our anti-xray plugin, however this will likely be replaced as the plugin's buggy nature has caused a great deal of frustration for a lot of people. ZHorse (or alternative) - This is our horse claiming plugin, which itself was a replacement for Stables, which was a replacement for HorseKeep. FOLogBlock - This is our specially modified version of LogBlock, both made to work with 1.13 and to have failover support (hence the name, FOLogBlock - FailOver LogBlock However, for 1.13 we aren't just going to be updating to an identical copy of our current server. The whole idea is to also freshen things up and introduce new features and so on. While the list of what can be shown is small for now, what I can show off is a plugin I recently made over the course of a couple days - CUWarps. CUWarps This plugin is a counterpart to our existing /warp system. For quite a long time, people have asked: "why is the list of warps private?", to which the response is always "private warps". This is actually only half of the story (though it is the primary reasoning for wanting to keep the list private. You see, since 2014, we've never actually cleaned out our warps folder. Ever. Yes, every single warp that was created since September 2014 is still present on the server. The vast majority of them don't work however, as their worlds aren't on the server anymore. Up until 1.13, though, this wasn't really an issue as the list of 247 warps was private. However, 1.13 introduces a new autocomplete system and, well... Yeah. Every warp can be seen publicly as a suggested command argument. So we clearly needed to fix this. The solution was a custom-made plugin that was fully cross-compatible with Essentials' warps system. This allows us to forever keep all those legacy warps from over the years without making a cluttered mess of a warp menu. However, there's always been another peculiar issue with warps. Buying one. Warps have always been available to the public for 1000 ingame dollars. In order to get one, however, it always required that a player wait for a moderator or higher to get on and manually create it. Well, that whole scenario is a thing of the past. Moving forward, you will be able to buy warps on your own, private or public. Doing so works as follows: /buywarp <warp name> <private|public> Private and public warps both cost the same. Private warps are accessed only by /cuwarp <warp name>, and will not appear in any lists. Public warps can be warped to by using either /cuwarp <warp name> or simply /warp <warp name>. Public warps also appear in /warps (the warp list). Keep in mind, however, that when you create a warp that you are standing in the exact spot you want players to be in - this includes rotation as well. After you create it, it cannot be changed without the help of a moderator or higher staff member. The same applies to the name. Also, any warps with racist names will be disallowed and your warp will either be renamed (and you will be notified), or if done repeatedly will result in warps being deleted and eventually, loss of ability to purchase warps. The Future of Semi-Vanilla We thought we made this clear a while back, but here and there we keep getting questions on what will happen to the whole Bungee network and SV server once we update. Which is fair, as the planned approach has shifted a few times as time went on. Originally, we were just going to keep SV as it is and replace the old survival entirely. Later on, however, we altered the plan to turn into a sort of blend between SV and traditional CU survival. Then the nature of how that blend would be mixed changed a couple times. So, let's clarify everything once and for all, shall we? Creative Creative will remain completely unchanged. All plots will remain, all builds will remain. Nothing is going to be changing here. Survival McMMO will be removed entirely. We may bring it back later, or we might not - all depends on player demand. Jobs will still be present, however existing stats and job selections will be reset. There will not be a /warp shop. All shops will be player-curated, like SV. Survey and other crates will still be available. The survival world will (of course) be reset, and the old world will be uploaded to our download center shortly afterward. The current rank system (Donator, VIP, Platinum, Creator, Sponsor, etc) will remain in place. We are currently looking into implementing a system to let players lock away some of the more cheat-y privileges if they desire, if there is demand for such an implementation. Staff members will have the same privileges as they do on SV by default, with the exception of any perks that come with any donator rank they purchased. Any moderator or above can opt to have their original permissions back if desired. Economy will be reset Any custom plugins and features developed for SV will be made available on Survival (Unenchant, SlimeballJump, etc) Economy will be isolated to Survival only. The plan is to hopefully find a solution to ensure that other modes that use economy (mainly SkyBlock) won't be affected. The details of this are yet to be announced. Stay tuned on this one! SkyBlock Will be largely unaffected, with the exception of any server-wide changes (ie, McMMO being removed) Islands will remain available as players can choose to reset them if they want to SkyBlock shop and economy system is still up in the air, depends on what options are available and what can be done within our current system. Stay tuned! Minigames All minigames will NOT reward ingame currency, leaderboard systems will be implemented where possible Alternative reward systems are being looked into, expect more information on this as we get closer to launch. Stay tuned! Whew. So, that covers the main server. But what about SV and the whole Bungee network? BungeeCord Network The current plan is to keep the Bungee network in place for now, in order to serve as a fallback point during automatic server restarts as well as in case we want to implement gamemodes that don't support a multiworld configuration Hub Server Will remain online as a fallback point when the main server auto-restarts Semi-Vanilla Will be shut down, and world will be uploaded to our download center Any players who paid for VIP rank will be granted the VIP rank on the Main server (though this should already be the case as SV never had its own store product) Before we wrap up, I should go ahead and mention that it is possible for any or all of the above information to be changed between now and release. It could change due to community feedback, or just us deciding that we need a different approach due to either technical or other reasons. Oh, right. I almost forgot! We are slowly going to be implementing some more pretty pictures around the website. For those of you who've seen the Elaztek website, you'll probably already recognize this kind of look. That's because it's effectively the exact same design. It's made particularly easy since the Elaztek and current CU themes are both derived from the same base theme (that being the CU 2016 theme). Currently, it's limited only to forum topics, but you can expect to see more and more header banners as time goes on (possibly very quickly after this topic posted). Since we got the new theme released, we wanted to start going ahead and making some other updates and improvements to add a bit more polish to everything as well. Well folks, that's it! If you have any questions, concerns, or comments, let us know!

Hey, everyone! We have an exciting new announcement to share! We are introducing a new premium files system to the forums, as an extension of our existing download center. As you guys know, not too long ago, we made a poll on both Forums and Discord asking for your guys thoughts on us trying to do some stuff with CU that could help pay the bills (and then some). To my surprise, virtually everyone voted in favor those ideas. One thing I mentioned was things that made it to where not only us, but some of you as well, could also make some money. This is where these new expansions to our download center come in. So, how does it work? Simple. If you have a grand Minecraft build (either in a .schematic or a regular world), web content, graphic work, and so on, you can choose to upload the file as either free or premium. You can set whatever price you like. If people buy it, the funds will be dropped into your account balance, which can be withdrawn at any time you like. CU will take a small percentage of the funds, and the rest is yours. In accordance with this, we have updated our guidelines/terms for uploading files to the download center. You can check those here. Additionally, we have a nice information page for premium files in particular which you can check out here. Premium Files FAQ Q: Why can't I get 100% of the profits? You didn't make any of my content, I did! >:^( A: Correct. We did not develop your content. However, we do host the website that you have uploaded the file to, and that host isn't free. Besides, we are very generous with only taking 15% of the profits. Some sites demand 20% or even 30% - which is just absurd. Q: What if I create a build of a super sexy lady but I don't show any nudity? A: This is fully permitted, but I don't know if anyone will be willing to buy it. Those kinds of builds are more of a screenshot piece. You're more than welcome to try, though. Q: If I upload a file, do CU staff members get to download it for free? A: Managers, Administrators, and Owners can download your file without needing to pay. Moderators and below must pay, however. Q: If I upload something such as a SkyWars or SurvivalGames arena, will CU use it? A: If we find interest in your build, we will generally inform you about it. We will never use your builds for free without your permission. You may allow us to use them free of charge, but otherwise you will receive a payment for the build before we use it. Q: Why can't I get my withdrawal immediately? A: As we mentioned before, we want to ensure we can actually pay you first. If we can't pay you for whatever reason (ex: the money in CU's PayPal was used on server bills), then we will need to transfer money into it beforehand. Don't worry - you will never not have your account credit. If need be, CU will pay you out of pocket. :) Q: What if my content is commentary on a sensitive topic, such as racism, sexism, etc? A: Commentary or not, if your content is deemed overly offensive, it will be removed. Otherwise, anyone could make racist content and just say "oh, its just commentary so its fine :D". Just because it's commentary, doesn't mean it can just bypass the rules. Ultimately, we are the judges in these cases. Q: Can my content promote another community or website? A: You can ask us first, however in most cases it is not allowed. Exceptions would be any content relating to Nuclear District, Hurricane Craft, Elaztek Studios, United AlyCraft, and any other members or partners of the Chaotic United Network. You can find a list of those names here. If you have any questions or concerns relating to this new system, or if you think anything in the terms we've setup are unfair, let us know! This is fairly uncharted territory for us, and if there are legitimate issues and flaws with our current setup, we want to fix them as early on as possible. Additionally, if you have any other types of content we should set up categories for in our download center (free or paid), let us know! Once again, I do want to thank you all for your continued support over the years.

Wow, I'm amazed at the overwhelmingly supportive votes! Virtually everyone voted either neutral or in favor of these ideas - which is kind of amazing considering I didn't really have much to share in terms of concrete ideas. But then again, the poll was more of just the idea. In either case, I'm absolutely thrilled that you guys are cool with this - sometimes I forget that we aren't living in 2015 where every eye is staring intently and questioning my every move looking for some deep evil intent. I'm gonna have some talks with the staff on some of these ideas, and what may end up happening is a lot of these might kick into play all at once. What I do want to do, however, is clarify a couple potential concerns that some of you may or may not have. For all I know none of you are really worried about this, but in case someone out there is, let me clarify the following: Our MC server will NOT be impacted by any of these other ideas. We will continue to put quality first, as in, we aren't going to turn into some greedy mega corporation like EA or Activision or whoever. We are here first and foremost for you - the community. And keeping a healthy and happy community comes before absolutely everything. MC will not be pushed aside and forgotten by these various ideas. If you do happen to have any particular concerns, feel free to either reply to the topic or speak up on Discord (or pm me on either if you don't want to do so in public)! Expect to see a variety of new stuff coming up soon! And once again, thank you - all of you - for being here, and continuing to be here over the years. Here's to many more years to come.
