The Ancient Dungeon is a dungeon sealed away in a distant, unknown location. It is the home of General Graardor and many other ancient monsters. It is currently inaccessible, though it is planned to be reintroduced in the future.
Background
The Ancient Dungeon was created as a secondary location to contain both General Graardor and all of the associated Ancient Monsters, such as the Ancient Paladin and Ancient Archer. Previously, these mobs would periodically spawn in the overworld - however due to their high difficulty, it was decided that they would be better suited to a dungeon all their own.
The dungeon previously could be entered by opening the portal within the Ancient Temple with a Dungeon Key. Currently, however, the dungeon is completely inaccessible by normal means. If one were to somehow enter the dungeon, it would be entirely empty and devoid of mobs.
There are plans to reintroduce the dungeon once again and restore its functionality, however no exact time frame has been provided.
