    If it's possible to get EXTREMELY close to the classic version, then go with the integrated gamemode. If, however, it's very choppy and buggy, just make a standalone server if you're so hellbent on it.

    I use a laptop, although I really want a desktop. MSi Ge72 Apache-264 Some of it's specs: Intel Core i7-4720HQ 2.6 GHz 12 GB DDR3L SDRAM 1 TB 7200 rpm Hard Drive 17.3-Inch Screen; NVIDIA GeForce GTX960M with 2GB GDDR5 VRAM It's not bad.

    I ran/run a GMod TTT community, so I know a good portion of Lua. I've also dabbled here and there with Java, GML, and C++.
