Terraria Server?

Ok I know most people wouldnt even bother to look at this after my last topic in the suggestion threads.
Harry says that Im using the resources without paying. Using the resources? What do you mean?
I never play on CU MC server anymore. The only thing I do is hang on the forums and talk on teamspeak every once awhile.
Anywho. I got another idea. A Terraria Server.
I know most of you Terraria players know that players can bring stuff from their single player world to the server.
However this can be easily changed with a new server module.

You can change permissions with the SQlite program. After some editing with the files with NotePad++ I can disable explosions. You can download the latest build here:https://tshock.atlas...on Instructions Guests dont have the ability to build. You can easily change that.
Other people can create a manageable server in ways they have never did before.
I hope this helps my contribution to the server. The editing is a lot like YAML. IN the permissions plugin.
Stoneharry will start to think this server will be much easier to manage.

You can disable TnT explosions and other shit. You can also region areas.

I agree with you a terraria server would be fun, but similar to the minecraft server the world would become tiring quickly, but much faster due to that it is tiny in width. A survival server for terraria wouldn't (In my opinion) be a viable choice for CU since the server would likely have over 20 people at once (Random guess from what I've seen of Minecraft) with that amount of people plus those who get on when others get off the world itself would become extremely cluttered with buildings, homes, tunnels etc...

What I think would be a better idea for a Terraria server would be one used for Tournaments in pvp or pvp + Boss fights, whoever wins gets loot for Mc/Rs/WoW. The PvP in Terraria from what I've seen is actually quite well developed in comparison to Minecraft, Wow's pvp and Rs (From what I've seen keep in mind I'm not a heavy pvp'er in either) is basically target and cast, wheres the challenge especially in 1v1's. So what the server could do is make it so no User could break blocks or get out of the arena, the character cannot bring items over from SP and instead is given a set of items when they join. Using those items they try to win the tourny. If they win maybe they just get a prize for a different game and nothing else.

Tl;Dr - Terraria server for a PvP arena for the Mc/WoW/Rs server instead of survival server

That's the thing xD With friends you'ld have no more then 10 I'ld guess. The world is big enough for that but on a full fledged server you'ld have much more people, not necessarily all online at once but throughout the day. Can you imagine how cluttered the world will get?
