Guest Syntax21 Posted June 24, 2012 Well on this older laptop I'm using some of the time I would like to play on the minecraft server, becasue I am busy but I have a lot of downtime. What I intend to do is when I start renting out the like 60 or so rooms in the tower Im getting closer to finishing, I want to be able to get on using this laptop and modify the permissions on it to new people, and to stock my shop that ill be starting back up soon. So I installed minecraft using the same clone as I have on 3 other computers of mine. Minecraft runs at 5 or 7 frames on this thing, barely even compatible. So with some mods and creative tweaks its actually 30-45 frames a second at a decent rendering distance. Which is great, I've toyed with it, and itll be just fine to be on the server. No the problem is the chat windows. NOTHING is colored. No red for killerteddy, no yellow for me, no red for "You dont have permission" ect. This isnt the only computer Ive seen this problem on, it seems to occur with lesser GPUs. I would like a remedy to this though, because when EVERYTHING is white it is hard as hell to read the chat window. Especially when other are trying to chat with me, and nothing grabs my attention either. Any ideas? I really would like this fixed. Im not buing a new laptop soon, I need a new car frist, and it seems my college will give me a newer mac when the semester starts, but thats august. Guest Syntax21 Posted June 25, 2012 well it worked I didnt consider it was an openGL 1.1 sharer problem and I could have fixed that using a shader emulator on the program im using the run the game. However, this mod is quite nice and would definitely bee less CPU intensive than emulating a shader just for colored text =) Share this post Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
