Having some free time on my hands I decided to read up on all the fun I've missed out on, I see everything is living up to the name chaotic. Just throwing this out there but everyone who hates Cu and everyone that really loved Cu seems to have issues with this Cu. Maybe, just maybe if this Cu wasn't called Cu you guys be having the same issues that the old Cu had, which is annoying kids with ddos subscriptions.

But that is just my 10 cents about fixing the ddos, the server down times and fixing all the extra work you guys have to but in to keep everything stable.

Long story short, i am one reply away from telling Logitech to suck my ♥♥♥♥ and sending them a video of me breaking every piece of logitech gear i own. In case this does happen i was looking for some advice on a headset clearly designed for sound, if it comes with a mic or not i do not care. As most of you know, I am the owner of the community known as [REDACTED]. Michael (AwakenedRage) had assumed the recent DDoS attacks on us were from Nuclear District. He informed me of this, I really didn't have any part in it. I simply sat back and watched. I didn't intervene with Michael, as I was unsure of the truth or not. I didn't really think he was correct, but again, I was not aware. But this post isn't to make myself look good, to make [REDACTED] look good, or anyone else look better. It also isn't to make Michael look bad.

 

The purpose of this post is for me to apologize to everyone here on behalf of Michael. Whether or not Michael apologizes himself or not is up to him. But I want to do my part, as I can be the one to take the blame being the owner of the community involved. His actions were harsh, rash, and quick to jump the gun. But either way, I am sorry that Michael was attempting to cause harm to Nuclear District. I will accept full responsibility if you believe further action is necessary. I am, at the moment, about to begin a discussion with him. I will personally see to it that this kind of thing never happens again to Nuclear District. Because, Alycat hates this place. Michael, I'm not sure of his standing to Nuclear District. But I for one do not hate it. I hope one day to once again have friendly bonds between us all. But I will not slam ND for hating Alycat, or Michael if you have such feelings. Alycat has been a trouble in the past, and has now caused damage to both [REDACTED] and Nuclear District.

 

I don't want our two communities to be enemies. Either way, regardless of what you think, me nor my community has anything against Nuclear District. I hope you feel the same way.

I LOVE buying things online but a monitor wouldn't be one i would buy before looking at. I would walk down to go see all the monitors your local stores have and then buy the one you like the look of.

there are mods that make the entire game palm trees, sand, and beaches. Armour skins, character skins, weapon skins, perks and a lot more....so it depends on where you want to go with it.

Lowering levels of current players, nerfing of certain mcmmo abilities, or?

i think diamonds should be rare not removed... making them removed makes new players feel like you took some content from them. making them rare by world editing them 85%-90% into iron just makes players think they suck at mining

as for mcmmo i think he means placing a cap on the levels of mcmmo skills. I'd also assume that mcmmo would be reset for players or their skills reduced to the cap.

so uhm... how short? like right now as its been a day or tomorrow?  How can it be decided if the powerful trollcorp should return or not without knowing everything?

Kits are a extra bonus but not a core element of any faction server. sure special perks bring people in the door but they will only stay if there is a quality experience to be had. Sadly the current factions doesn't have this.

Now as a player, a moderator, a faction admin and a person who co-build, created and managed a faction server i can tell you the key to having a successful factions server is not perks but rather goals to obtain.... end game content.

Diamonds, enchanting, the nether, a fully sustainable base that keeps your faction healthy are things that need to be hard long term goals to obtain. not an hours work mining out a base and an hour gathering diamonds. On that note diamonds should not be easily had. But nukediamond let players see a diamond and took it away, this made players feel like they lost something. If they were 85% world edited into iron then the players wouldn't feel like they are losing everything when they went mining but rather gaining. The end result is the same but the illusion for success is much higher. (this is an huge issue with the last factions)

Now on to the stupid shit that is on factions. Ender chest allow players to never lose their best stuff and simply hide their best shit away in times of need. This is unacceptable and takes away the best part about raiding.... which is getting the good loot, not iron and wheat. ender chests should not be allowed and should be removed period.

Pvp logging must be 100% full proof, not 99% but 100%. There are enough plugin devs in this community to make that happen correctly. to chase someone down and they just log off with their gear ruins the entire experience of pvp in factions.

Mcmmo is another stupid.. stupid idea for factions, The idea that you can gather a forest off wood in minutes, get 4 diamonds from 1 ore and mine sand faster then you can walk. But it gets better you can do 10 damage per hit with an axe and disarm people with your fists??? Clearly these are broken and weren't apart of C.U for a reason. This should be removed or a cap set at a very low number.....

Now, how can factions be set up properly??? Simple. Make it hard to get maxed out on gear and make a good base, make goals that can be set and achieved hourly, daily, monthly. If you can get set up in a day, you go crush noobs, crushing noobs makes them rage quit and lowers population, then you get bored and leave... so don't do that. Once the fundamentals are set up and the ground work laid you can work on setting up a faction server that stands out among all the other ones. This is where you can add special plugins that bring in population and start adding colour to you're work. If you want things like mcmmo, chest shops, iconomy, kits and that type of thing you must look at what they do to balance of the game. New players must be able to the thrive and have fun even when players have been playing for months.

Step back, read this information and evaluate how important kits really are to the game.

Almost every member (who doesn't join and leave within a minute) who plays factions complains about kits. They then leave the server due to the lack of kits, from what I've seen anyway. Why were kits removed, in the first place? I understand the diamond armor kits, but the starter kits were removed as well.

-Why are diamonds plentiful?

-ender chests still work?

-pvp logging?

-end game content easy to obtain?

I think kits are a smaller problem then everything else currently wrong with factions.

I like to go more into fun type instead of trying to aim for masses. Mostly this gaming community is to have fun, not have work and think of it as a job. We can try to play some steam games and possibly some modded MC ones. Really depends on what we all want to try out.
