@alycat So much crazy stuff has happened that I can barely even put it into words. About 2 or 3 weeks ago 2 people who I was formerly well acquanted in the past (2011 - 2013) attacked one of my friend's servers, that had chat filter's in place and was known to have alot of young player's on. Those two bypassed the filter's saying things that caused alot of panic. Mind you that server isn't minecraft, after they succeeded in bypassing the filter and causing chaos they started posting private information of any associated staff member publicly and was using that to mess with us. A couple of us were swatted before, I wasn't one of them. But they started driving us to the point where they threatened to frame us. Then we got to the point where we could not take it anymore and we tracked and posted their information publicly. They didnt like the actions of retaliation and this led to the actions on Friday where both servers including CU were DDoSed for a period of 4 days. I took the necessary preccautions for the server, but they didnt like what I was doing to prevent them from succeeding in their plan and saw me as a threat. This leads to the final reason why I took the server down and that is the fact they managed to put a virus on my computer. Currently fixing everything still. As for what I am doing, that remains classified until it is all done.

These issues have nearly been resolved, and Michael is implementing SSL as extra security.

I am also sorry I haven't been as active since Christmas, but I keep Steam and Skype open and check the forums often.

Some changes are coming to the forums regarding the "United AlyCraft" section.

I will be deleting all subforums in the United AlyCraft section. As with Tidal Wave Gaming, UAC is still a part of Chaotic United. I am simply cleaning up the forums. And while the forums will be removed, the actual topics will not. They will be moved as follows:

U.A.C. News -----------------------> News & Announcements

U.A.C. Staff Re-Registration ----> Staff Applications

U.A.C. Re-registration ------------> MineCraft Registration

The forum "U.A.C. Discussion" has not been deleted, but it was moved under "Server Discussion" and renamed to "United AlyCraft". I am also going to be looking for a theme for United AlyCraft. I have created 3 logos within PhotoShop so far. Feel free to vote on your favorite (especially you alycat).

Now lets talk Premium Minecraft accounts. I am helping a friend of mine sell Premium Minecraft accounts! It actually includes the "Donator" rank on the Minecraft server. Granted, the names are as-is, but soon Mojang is going to allow name-changes. Contact me via Private Message here on the forums. However, you will need Skype in order to actually buy from him. This isn't your "freeminecraftaccounts.blogspot.com" or some other bullshit scam. We are actually selling real Minecraft accounts. And, as a further incentive, the revenue will be going towards Minecraft server hosting. So there you have it.

One last bit, if I manage to get Halo: The Master Chief Collection and an Xbox One by Christmas, I will be inactive for a few days (or more).

Free Forum Hosting Service

I am considering implementing a free forum hosting service. This could potentially get new members as well as provide a good service for those who want to have a free forum. Here is how I would envision it:

A free host & free domain would be <domainname>.chaoticunited.net (or .com later on)

It would look something like this: unitedalycraft.chaoticunited.net

Or someone could pay a small monthly fee for a real domain (unitedalycraft.net)

There are several different forums that I can host for free, all of which are in the poll.

No, I offered to host it as needed. I physically won't allow me to stop hosting it until I am absolutely positive that your new host is just as my server and enough funds for a year worth of hosting.

What does the server run on atm? Like the RAM etc? If you're looking to hold it until I get something like yours it could be a long ass time :/ Mainly because we don't have that many players yet, and even with the Christmas sale nobody is actually donating.

Just a note, HawkEye and Prism may not be actually in the plugins folder, if they arent they are in the [[unused Plugins]] folder. just move them to /plugins from there.

But I do agree, if we were to get DDoSed we'd be pretty screwed on that point. Plus my own internet would be down as a result being doubly bad. I might go for it but I'll reach a final decision tomorrow sometime. Seems the community likes the idea anyway. We'll talk tomorrow. Work something out.

I have issues trusting people nowadays. I just can't really sleep at night when someone other than myself has access to my server files like that. If the majority of the votes ends up as no, then I am NOT taking the offer. Not yet anyway.

So, alycat has been contacted by one of his friends regarding hosting for Chaotic United. I am going to make a poll on whether or not you think I should do it. Keep in mind that this won't be like KaizerCraft necessarily, as we would just be run on a separate PC. Personally, I am rather reluctant to do this, but if you guys think it's a good idea, I may go ahead with it. If not, our current setup will not change even slightly.

For those of you who have not seen, the old "Info" box is back! It holds current (and future) IP addresses for our servers. You will notice that WoW, TS, RS, and LiveMap are all present. These are planned servers for the future. The livemap technically already works, but I sometimes have it disabled. But that is the address for it. The rest will come as time goes on. The Shoutbox announcement will now hold ACTUAL announcements instead of the server IP addresses.

Looks to me like you were griefing.

Just now, the Forums were updated and cleaned up a little bit. I plan to do more but that doesn't require that the board be offline. The changes in total will be as follows:

Categories "KaizerCraft", "Tidal Wave Gaming", and "United AlyCraft" will be removed along with induvidual forums, their topics/posts moved with the main Forums except for U.A.C. Discussion, which will be placed under "Server Discussion".

I will be adding "prefixes" for the forums. The TWG posts will get the prefix "TWG", UAC posts get "UAC", and KaizerCraft posts will get "KC".

Please be aware, United AlyCraft and Tidal Wave Gaming are still part of Chaotic United. This is just to clean things up a bit. Nothing more.

The issue has been dealt with. Skyradz has been demoted to Griefer, and will not move beyond that without making a ban appeal or donating.

Well, lets talk about the Minecraft server.

Last month, I made a post about hosting Nuclear District's server. Let me clarify what this will mean:

This means that Chaotic United will be an unofficial server for Minecraft players there. "Why would we want to do that?", I hear you asking. The answer is simple. Nuclear District has most of the old Chaotic players from Killerteddy's reign. "Wouldn't that be advertising?" Well, not really. Nuclear District has closed its Minecraft server. So I'd like to host it for them.

If you are an old Nuclear District member and you join, you will be reinstated on Chaotic United. Whether you get an equal rank or equal price, it depends. Whichever one is higher.

Now lets change topics. The Minecraft server has been down for quite some time now. Let me answer why that is. You may recall my old post about my Laptop dying, coming to life, and dying again, and truly waking from the dead. This is why. I refuse to destroy my laptop twice for Chaotic United. However, I have a desktop computer that literally just sits there and does nothing. I am trying to get the server to run on that. Please be aware this is temporary, and will last until I can actually afford hosting. Guess you could say we're doing it the same way Teddy did with Fatality Minecraft. It started up as a server run on Teddy's computer.

So, in layman terms, more people = more donations = hosted server = less lag

Keep that in mind.

Why this is, I do not know. Considering I offered to let Kaizer use an IPB forum as a separate directory here but eh whatever. I am talking with Alycat about getting people here but he refuses to do that. So if you happen to hop on the old United AlyCraft site and people are still registering, thats why. Because those are not Chaotic United players. Those are KaizerCraft players.
