haloman30 posted a topic in News & AnnouncementsHey, folks! We have an exciting announcement to make! We have officially launched our ElDewrito servers! Woohoo! We are starting off with 3 servers - Forge, Grifball, and Big Team Battle. The IP's have all been posted at the bottom of this topic. We have a lot more servers planned for the future, so stay tuned for those! Additionally, we are going to be officially launching the CU Download center - along with allowing users to upload mods, game variants, Forge maps, and more. Not only will we be supporting content for ElDewrito, but also we will be allowing you guys to submit Minecraft content as well. Going forward, we hope to expand this section of the website and allow you guys to share all sorts of content. But more on that another day. For information on how to obtain ElDewrito and connect to our servers, check this handy topic. We're excited about these new servers - and for me personally, it's great to be able to finally blend my love for Halo and passion for Chaotic United. See you on the battlefield! - The Chaotic United Team
In order to start playing the game, you will need to acquire a download for the ms23 build of Halo Online. Check this post on the ElDewrito/HaloOnline subreddit for more information on how to install the game. After you've successfully installed the game, you have two ways of connecting to one of our servers: Method 1 - Server Browser (Easiest) This is a piece of cake, just click the Server Browser on the top of the menu and search for "Chaotic United". You should see something like this after a minute or so: From here, you can just click on any server, and you're in! Method 2 - Direct Connect (Easy) If the server browser ever goes offline, fails to load all the servers, or any other strange hiccup even after multiple refreshes, you can get around it entirely by using the console. Press the ~ key and you should see something like this: Yours will likely be a bit easier to see, as I am running on a 4K display - but it should look basically the same. Once you're here, get the IP of any of our servers and run the following command: Server.Connect <IP> Replace <IP> with the IP of any of our servers - for instance, to connect to our Grifball server, you'd run: Server.Connect dewrito.chaoticunited.net:11785 And that's it! You're in and ready to play! See you on the battlefield, Spartans!
